Job Description

We are a boutique accounting firm based in Auckland CBD looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our small team. This full-time role would ideally suit someone with minimum experience.

Flexible work-hours could be possible Key duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Accounts Receivable 
  • Accounts Payable 
  • Payroll
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Cash flow Management and Invoice Preparation 
  • GST, PAYE, RWT, FBT and Income Tax Returns 
  • Ad hoc administration duties

You must have: 

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills 
  • Excellent English written and oral skills 
  • Be familiar with Xero, MYOB and Microsoft Office Products including Excel and Word 
  • Have some experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll in New Zealand 
  • The ability to learn new systems quickly 
  • Someone who has an attention to detail in terms of accuracy of reconciliations and reports 
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and computer software 
  • Full training provided with software use and knowledge
