Position Summary

This person will be responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations for deliveries from the warehouse/timber yard to customers. His/her main responsibility is to make sure all orders are picked correctly and delivered in a timely manner as requested. When other responsible team members are preoccupied, cutting, picking & packing of the orders may also be required. Other ad hoc tasks may be requested during the downtime. To meet all customer and business requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities - include but are not limited to

• Trade counter sales assistance to fill requirements of Walk-in Customers & phone inquiries

• Inwards good checking & receipting to make sure the quantity & correct goods received

• Documenting, Picking, Packing, and dispatching products accurately and on time

• Assisting with stock-takes

• Assisting with cutting requirements

• Operating forklift, lifting equipment, and delivery vehicles

• Basic machinery operation as required, e.g. saw, etc

• Maintaining store/yard stock levels & product displays

• Your initiative as well as your willingness to lend a hand and “muck in”

• An approachable and helpful attitude

• Be fit and strong as there will be heavy lifting involved

• A current clean full driver’s license

• Ensure orders are packed with reasonable care

• Good general warehouse operational skills

• Making sure a signed packing slip is returned to the office for all orders with customers

• Perform tasks in a health & safety conscious manner to ensure all parties involved are safe

• Previous experience in serving the trade sector such as Carters, ITM, Placemakers, etc would be preferred but not essential

• Dynamic all-rounder

• A current fork hoist certificate (for the right candidate, we could also provide the training)
