KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the warehouse team to ensure a highly effective, efficient and productive warehouse facility operation that strives for operational excellence;
- Manage & maintain inventories accurately;
- Working closely with the supply chain and purchasing department to ensure adequate stock levels;
- Ensure highest levels of inward/outward accuracies are achieved;
- Ensure procedural compliance to company and regulatory policies and procedures, including Ministry of Primary Industries transfer facility requirements;
- Handle and execute all outbound deliveries in a timely & efficient manner;
- Plan and supervise the effective & efficient workflow in the warehouse;
- Ensure all staff are correctly trained/licensed for all machinery & process operations;
- Manage accurate stock control by well-developed processes and regular physical stock take counts that reconciles with our stock control system;
- Produce reports regularly around warehouse operations and productivity;
- Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained & adhered to for a safe working environment;
- Ensure all warehouse stock is kept organised, logical and tidy;
- Strive for continuous system improvement and efficiencies in every aspect of warehouse management.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- At least 5+ years’ experience in a Warehouse management or Senior Warehouse role;
- Positive attitude & motivator who encourages teamwork and best practice;
- Skilled at managing pressures and priorities;
- Strives for inventory accuracy and delivery performance;
- Experience with Health and Safety compliance, regulations & process;
- Analytical ability and high level of numeric accuracy;
- Knowledge of MPI regulations;
- Full NZ Drivers license and Forklift license;
- Strong work ethic – delivers outcomes in timely manner;
- Fluent in Mandarin is preferred;
- Must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
