We currently have a career opportunity for a Sales Representative who is an energetic, talented, fun/positive a hard-working career-minded individual who can demonstrate varied skills to help Makan Distiller to grow our business.

This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of self-direction and problem-solving skills. It will require managing of the current business along with acquiring new customers. The right candidate will create relationships with new customers and strengthen relationships with the existing customer base. This is expected to be done through face to face, phone calls, email check-ins, and entertaining at events. The role would require intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality.

Customer relationship is very important to Makan Distiller, so the right candidate must have strong people and customer service skills.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities will include, but not be limited to

  • Develop and optimize the forecasting, planning, sales budgets, and annual business plans to ensure appropriate allocation of resources in accordance with company objectives
  • Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for assigned sales route. Solicit new business to increase revenue and distribution within route territory. Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to meet goals to increase market share, space allocation and customer service.
  • Work closely with key leaders across the organizational matrix for alignment on business initiatives and execution strategies
  • Service existing accounts by maintaining and building relationships. This is expected to be done through face to face check-ins, phone, and email check-ins, entertaining through company events, golf, meals, and drinks.
  • Identifying major accounts that are not being penetrated with the brand and developing a plan to establish business with such accounts. New business development to expand footprint in the market
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature. Final approval by the sales manager.
  • Religiously using CRM to document all activities including appointments, sales stages, quotes and updating customer information. All activity is tracked through CRM not manual reports.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Imperative to be able to identify and sell the needs of the customer and translate this to operations. The company offers multiple products. The sales team needs to identify this scope and relay it to operations.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Develop and grow your brand, market, and industry knowledge to promote sales more effectively.
  • Ensures maximum brand visibility and marketability within accounts by utilizing effective display position and current point of sale materials when appropriate.

Prior experiences in sales is necessary.

Trade sales experience would be preferred.
