Looking for a Cafe Manager
We are looking for an outstanding Café Manager to take the lead of our local Turkish café business. A successful candidate must have a positive attitude, have imagination and enthusiasm. You will be responsible for organising and control of the overall business establishment.
Business Name: Trojan Turkish Café, Restaurant and Takeaway, Dunedin.
Location: George Street, Dunedin 9016.
Pay & Benefits: Based on the experience with other contractual entitlements.
Suitable applicants must have:
More than two years of experience at supervisor or management level (experience in foodservice business is an advantage);
Tertiary qualification in Business level 6 or above;
Should be available working in the evening, weekends and/or even public holidays.
Either NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
A suitable candidate will be required to take the following responsibilities:
Develop business strategies to raise customer pool and optimize profitability;
Introducing new items considering the customers demand and change of market/circumstances;
Determine cost-effective product for the business;
You will be responsible to determine the stock level of the business before identifying the stock is low;
Introducing service standards and maintain its improvements throughout your tenure through providing training and awareness;
Prepare inventory on a regular basis based on your findings on stock level and maintain constant liaison with supplier for a better price;
Prepare marketing policies for the business and act accordingly throughout the year;
Organize promotions and ensure all promotional products are available throughout the promotion period;
You will be responsible for setting price or change of price considering the change of circumstances;
Maintain sales, stock and other expenditure records, such as credit statements, invoices, statistically and everyday basis and manage everyday financial transactions;
Prepare forthcoming budgetary strategy bearing in mind the staff salary, purchasing and maintenances costs and other incidental costs and act accordingly;
Ensuring high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service;
Response customer queries, grievances and comments quickly;
Ensuring standards for quality of the service and health and safety are met;
Managing staff hiring process, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, and organizing training program;
Introducing necessary changes to improve the business, such as changing opening and closing time, introducing brand new tests and so on;
Understanding and evaluate legal enforcements and act accordingly;
Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements;
Maintain constant communication with internal and external authority in order to run the store smoothly;
