Job Description

Fixed Term Position Purpose:  Prepare and maintain excellent standards of food preparation and presentation for a range of meal types and takeaways.  Core objectives include:  Preparing a range of meals for guests of the venue, including, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks to a high standard.  Ensure menus, food standard, procedures and processes are followed.  Supervise and manage kitchen operations as required.  Is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen area is in line with current health regulation standards.  Required qualities:  professional approach, ability to work under pressure, organisational and time management skills and excellent attention to detail.  Desired competencies: Analytical thinking, initiative, business awareness, tenacity, strategic thinking and positive approach to change.  Certificate Commercial Cookery.  Relevant practical experience as a chef with the ability to display required competencies.  Knowledge of various cooking techniques and their various outcomes.  Customer service focused.  Communication, Attention to detail, Commerciality, Teamwork, time management and organization.
