As our new Sous Chef, you will work alongside the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. In this role, you will create intricate and delicious dishes, cooking consistently to a high standard.
Skills & experience
The ideal candidate would have...
Experience in a similar role within both high volume and fine dining environments. Proven experience in a la carte and function operations. Strong functional knowledge of FCP. A professional approach to culinary excellence. Creativity. Strong communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to work well within a team environment and manage a team. The ability to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence. A positive, can do, hands on attitude. Exceptional work ethic. The ability to be punctual, reliable and honest. Planning and organisational skills. The ability to work well under pressure. Eligibility to legally work in NZ. Your own transport.
