Join our talented kitchen team as our Breakfast Chef!
This is a sole charge position working in our new luxury lodge during breakfast time.
The role is 7-11am 5 days per week - super appealing hard to find hours in this industry!
The Breakfast Chef is responsible for the creation of high quality dishes in his role as part of the kitchen team. He/she is able to work independently and be self-sufficient.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Cooks consistently and enthusiastically on a high level as Breakfast Chef as directed by the Head Chef. • To plan, prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Sous/Head Chef. • To assist in the development and planning of menus, including future food trends, and to be passionate about developing new styles of service and concepts in the location. • To assist with stock taking when required. • To carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate. • To assist with the provision of training and development for department staff in kitchen procedures. • To observe all company food hygiene and health and safety policies. • Making sure his/her station and its environment (kitchen and storerooms) is spotlessly clean. • Follow stock receiving system to ensure all food items are received and stored correctly • Maintains personal tidy appearance and works in a highly hygienic manner. • To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained. • Keeps control of his/her responsible station and reports orders for food and non-food to the Head Chef. • To be flexible and to extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within job capacity as assigned. • Maintain good working relationships with your colleagues and all departments.

Hours of work:
Hours are variable
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
