The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Supervisor to work with the Ancillary Project Team and deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for the coordination of 3 to 5 crews on a daily basis. This will include the planning of jobs & projects they'd need to undertake from arranging Traffic Management to materials and plant. The majority of work our department undertakes ranges from drainage, earthworks, pavement widening to inspections and small maintenance works on the State Highway Network from Puhoi to Cape Reinga, Council Roads and private works. Our projects durations can range from 1 day to Month+, hence our department is very fast paced and crews can be located all over Northland at any one time.

You would organise with our foremen the daily onsite operations, liaison with internal and external suppliers and subcontractors, quality delivery, training and development, staff motivation and site safety management. The role is approximately 50 - 60 hours a week. You will need to be flexible as the occasional night and weekend work is required.

You will also need;

  • 5 years + experience in construction industry essential.
  • Level 4 certificate in construction Diploma in Engineering is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of Class 2, but 3, 4 and 5 with WTR endorsements preferred.
  • Health and safety conscious with a proven track record
  • Good computer skills Ability to scope, plan and price jobs
  • Previous machine operation experience
  • The desire to become a CTO assessor Knowledge and understanding of construction drawing Awareness of Sediment and Erosion control
