KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountability:Clients

•Ensuring that clients receive optimal care and support.Duties and Responsibilities

•Providing personal and intimate care, when required

•Completion of required tasks as outlined in shift task lists or as outlined in individual client support plans

•Supporting clients to learn skills for daily living

•Helping clients to learn skills that support them to be part of their community

•Supporting clients with their goals/aspirations

•Supporting clients to make decisions and choices

•Encouraging clients to have cultural experiences

•Keeping premises clean and tidy,at all times

•Maintaining a high level of hygiene and cleanliness by doing or working with clients to maintain tidy homes, including kitchens and bathrooms

•Handing out medication, as required•Document medication administered: dosage, time, etc.

•Make sure all relevant documents are included in Client File and are filed correctly

•Ensure all meetings with Clients are documented in the minutes, typed and filed each week

•Ensuring good communication between client and support worker.Accountability:Our Team

•Supporting your work colleagues in their duties where and when required

•Reporting to Management/Supervisors

•Following instruction and direction from Management/Supervisors

•Ensuring good communication between support worker and supervisor/management

•Ensuring Health & Safety Standards and Protocols are adhered to at all times.Accountability: Risk Management/Quality/Compliance/Reporting

•Ensure Staff Diary notes and Adverse Event reportsare completed.Duties and Responsibilities:

•Ensuring Management or Supervising staff are updated of any and all exceptions that occur on your shift

•Note any variances in behaviour or breaches of process and protocol amongst staff and clients and advise supervising staff.Accountability:Other

•General administration

•Writing of reports

•Attend trainingsor meetings recommended by your manager/supervisor

•If and when required, drive or travel to alternative locations to carry out your work

•Ensure all timesheets and/or other payroll documentation is accurate and submitted to your supervisor within the required timeframes

•If and when required, carry out any other reasonable duties not specified above but that is requested by your manager or supervisor for you to carry out and perform.
