We are looking for a Personal Carer to work as part of a rostered shift system which includes mornings, nights and/or weekends. (There maybe times when you could be called upon as a reliever due to staff illness etc)

Your work hours will be made up of a combination of morning and/or evening hours for weekdays as follows;

Weekday (Monday to Friday) hours are;

• Mornings - 2 hrs, 6am-8am
• Evenings - 1 hr, 8:30pm-9:30pm

Other hours that you might be required to provide relief for are;

Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) hours are;

• Saturday morning - 4 hrs, 7am-11am
• Saturday evening - 1 hr, 8.30pm-9.30pm
• Sunday morning - 2 hrs, 7am-9am
• Sunday evening - 1 hr, 8.30pm-9.30pm

Reliability is essential to accommodate the clients commitments. Responsibilities include assisting with his daily routine which also includes giving medication and maintaining his gastro feeding tube (PEG). Regular duties involve doing personal care, showering and dressing etc. Food preparation, monitoring him when he eats breakfast and general household duties. Equipment used: full hoist for all transfers, commode and an electric wheelchair. The patient cannot bear weight so you need to be reasonably healthy. A friendly sociable personality would be suited. Reliability and good communication skills are essential.
