Liaise with the Brew Team and/or Pacman to ensure packaging schedule is adhered to.
Setting up pack runs, including the setup of machines as well as preparation of packing materials, creating labels, labelling bottles, building and labeling cartons and loading cans/bottles into machines.
Assisting with the pack shift, the running of machines, packing bottles and cans into cases, stacking cases.
Assisting with packing down, cleaning machines and the pack hall.
Assist in the constant and consistent cleaning and tidying of the packaging areas, to ensure a clean, safe and respectable work area is achieved at all times. This includes the onsite storage of pack materials. Assisting with organising the delivery of packed goods to the 3PL vs keeping on site.
Constantly look for system improvement in all areas of the packaging process, feeding automation and efficiency ideas into the Pacman Assisting with routine maintenance of machines and pack hall area.
Carry out and document any relevant and required; Paperwork, Cleaning checklists, Stock transfer movements, Quality control checks, Maintenance records, Production amounts and H&S documents.
Clean and stack kegs
Assist with ensuring that tanks are clean and ready for beer production and transfer Assist with the filling of kegs and the preparation of finished keg stock for transfer offsite.
Maintain a clean and sterile cellar and bright tank space, free from mould, waste beer, yeast, hops etc.
Assist in the preparation of beer for packaging after transfer - checking DO, measuring and adjusting CO2 levels and ensuring acceptable clarity before release for packaging.
Follow all safety requirements with particular focus on use of hot water, cleaning chemicals, lifting and working at heights with the aim of eliminating danger to self and others in the work environment
Assist in the preparation of all ingredients for production following the specifications laid down in the recipe and keeping accurate records of weights and batch numbers
Monitor stock levels, alerting the brewery manager when levels are low and require reordering
Manage water, ensuring that there is adequate hot water for the following days production
Maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring that the brewing area and bench are kept tidy and that the malt store and hop room are kept clean and well organised.
Assist with other brewery tasks as needed and requested; packing, cleaning, cellar door, delivery and collection errands
Basic understanding of engineering (to help with operating machinery)
3+ years in the brewing industry
Basic computer skills - Excel, Word, Email and Internet Hold a current and clean driver’s license and forklift license.
HT would be a bonus
