A number of full-time positions have become available for the position of Deck Hands to serve on a medium-sized Long Line vessel for a 12-month period.

Normal deckhand duties for a long line vessel - deploying and retrieval of the lines, handling and unloading the catch, and cleaning duties.

Experience of at least six months as a fisheries deckhand is essential for these positions. If you have an NZ Deckhand Qualifications ADH-F or equivalent that would be a definite advantage.

You will be out at sea for up to 10 days. The workplace and living areas are confined situations. We operate the vessels on a strictly no-violence, no-abuse, and no-aggressive behavior basis. Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications on the traditional % of catch share with $25.20 as a base rate. Must be very physically fit, as there is heavy lifting involved.

You must agree to both our random drug testing program and the criminal police clearance process. Start Mid to late December 2022
